3D Artist (m/f)



As 3D Artist at Deep Silver FISHLABS, you will be responsible for the conception and creation of 3D models for an upcoming, hitherto unannounced action game for smartphones and tablets. You will create all kinds of assets, including environments, vehicles, structures and weapons. Thus, you should be proficient in both modeling and texturing. Your concrete job title (Senior / Regular / Junior) depends on your previous work experience and overall level of qualification.



Main Tasks:

 

  • Model and texture a broad range of exclusive assets, including environments, vehicles, structures and weapons
  • Create new variants of existing 3D models
  • Work closely with our concept art, tech art and animation teams


What we are looking for:

 

Must-Haves

 

  • Work experience as 3D Artist in the entertainment industry
  • Experience with creating and texturing high-res and low-res geometry in 3DStudio Max
  • Experience with creating textures in Photoshop
  • Ability to re-create, match and refine an established art style
  • Self-contained way of working and high level of self-motivation
  • Good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken)
  • High capacity for team work and good communication skills
  • A lot of creativity

 

Nice-To-Haves

 

  • Knowledge of rigging and basic animation skills
  • Sculpting experience
  • Knowledge of game and graphic engines

 

 

Portfolio Requirements:

  • Please note that we will only accept digital applications, such as a websites, blogs or online albums. Physical media will not be accepted
  • Provide detailed breakdowns of your work and point out the aspects you have been responsible for
  • Keep in mind that you might also have to do an art test
  • Make sure that your work samples include the following assets:
    • Environments and/or structures
    • Vehicles and/or weapons
    • „Next-Gen“ techniques (normal-mapped geometry)
    • A very attractive, recently renovated office space right in the centre of Hamburg, Europe’s Green Capitol of 2011. Enjoy the most beautiful city in the world’s legendary nightlife, multifaceted cultural offerings and excellent local traffic connections as well as its closeness to Berlin and the Northern and the Baltic Sea
    • Not just an open-door policy, but hardly any doors at all! In our comfy open-plan office, everybody from the trainee to the head-of-studio is always present and accessible. Look over the edge of your screen, turn your head to the left or roll back with your chair to chat and interact with other Fishlabbers – these conditions are particularly helpful when you’re working in teams
